The Music Party – an exhibition of the paintings, drawing and prints of Marcellus Laroon.
In the words of the organiser James Miller: “This is an exhibition to enjoy, Laroon is an immediately likeable artist creating often humorous scenes, gently poking fun at the society around him.”
The exhibition is open throughout August, noon – 5pm (last entry 4pm) – admission £3 or free with a House and Gardens ticket.

The house displays a staggering collection of fine art including paintings, furniture, porcelain, weapons, textiles - including stunning pieces created for the French Royal Family. The House features on the groundbreaking new Sky Arts programme “Treasure Houses of Britain” Presented by Selina Scott and created by Colonial Pictures. It will be shown initially in striking 3D and later in more conventional 2D.
Boughton joins four other Great Houses (Blenheim, Burghley, Chatsworth and Holkham) as flagships of the wonderful heritage of Britain.
