Students surveying Boughton HouseThe Living Landscape Trust and Boughton Estates, whenever possible, work closely with local organisations to provide a better learning experience. The RICS is one of a number of organisations that make significant contributions in this area.

As well as the "Squires and Spires Day", the RICS has recently organised workshop’s at Boughton, utilising both the House and the Estate.

The East Midlands RISC held a Regional Education Workshop entitled "Surveying – the business of People, Property and Land" for students from Leicester Grammar school.

They were given talks and practical demonstrations by "the people who do the job" and undertook exercises to become familiar, themselves with what is needed in the job – from technical skills to people management.
