Boughton Gardens are open as part of the National Gardens Scheme on Saturday 25th & Sunday 26th February, 11am - 3pm

Visiting Information

The house displays a staggering collection of fine art including paintings, furniture, porcelain, weapons, textiles - including stunning pieces created for the French Royal Family. The House features on the groundbreaking new Sky Arts programme – “Treasure Houses of Britain” – Presented by Selina Scott  and created by Colonial Pictures. It will be shown initially in striking 3D and later in more conventional 2D.

Boughton joins four other Great Houses (Blenheim, Burghley, Chatsworth and Holkham) as flagships of the wonderful heritage of Britain.

The gardens and landscape, originally created to provide vistas, avenues, water features and formality are presently being restored - with key elements of the Grade 1 listed Landscape recreated. Explore and enjoy the revived features.

The Duke commissioned Kim Wilkie to design a striking new landform - Orpheus which both compliments and enhances the older landscape created by his ancestors. descend down into its depths and enjoy the tranquillity.
