One of a pair of carved gilt gesso mirror sconces, designed in the Louis XIV 'antique' manner of Daniel Marot, architect to King William III. They have ribbon-tied oval wreath medallion frames enriched with Roman foliage, garlands and cornucopiae of fruit and flowers, and incorporate shelves for candlesticks and porcelain.
