The Second State Room
(The State Drawing Room)

In the second State Room or "The State Drawing Room", the Chéron ceiling depicts
"The fall of Pyreneus".

The room retains the original walnut chairs covered in crimson velvet. Now much faded they, nonetheless show the way in which the tones of the tapestries and other fabrics would have become increasingly lavish as visitors progressed towards the State Bed Chamber.
