Inscribed by the painter, 'Andreas Colyns de Nole Statu....' who was with Hans van Mildert the leading sculptor in Antwerp. Autograph model for Pieter de Jode to engrave (Mauquoy-Hendrickx, 1956, no. 34). A painted copy was in the Cardon Collection, Brussels (Delacre, 1932, pl. xix; panel 26 x 20cm)
